PASTELS

Fernando Botero spent his life experimenting with all painting techniques. Pastel was one of them. Faced with the problems of painting, which he never mastered, he maintained his need to paint permanently, always with the same conviction: “Art must highlight the positive aspects of life, ennoble and not belittle man.”
